I’m happy to announce the first step towards a full integration of GlutenSniper.com and Google Places! You’ll find that starting today when visiting the Gluten Free Menu page that a new functionality has been inserted. This new function, “Activate Local Lookup” introduces the first step towards a better experience for our visitors.
Using a series of API calls and completely custom functionality the site compares our menus against the restaurants in your area. Wherever it finds a match it will include the distance and street address. This is just the first step, coming soon we’ll have a customized Google Maps integration which will make it even easier to find the places near you. The best is yet to come… hopefully you’re starting to see the point of Gluten Sniper, to give you only what you need and when you need it – stay tuned!
